Portraits of Greece
Kalliope is named after the Greek muse of epic poetry and mother of Orpheus, and we’re very excited to be present a Greece-inspired program! This concert will feature world premieres by Berklee Composition Department faculty members Panagiotis Liaropoulos and Margaret McAllister, Jean Phillip Rameau’s “Entrance of the Muses” and Ravel’s Cinq mélodies populaires grecques – both arranged by members of the Calefax Quintet. Admission free.
